Number One son was supposed to play soccer for the Brunswick United U12 team yesterday morning against Sassafras but instead ended up playing with snowballs (not soccer balls) in the Dandenongs. The game was cancelled due to snow falling up in the hills, brrrrrrrr!!!!!.
Pictures of the historic event were also taken which I can hopefully upload. Interestingly, one of Josh's mates was rapt as he'd never seen snow before - a happy and warm ending to an otherwise miserable day.
Number One daughter's game for the U16 girls was played at home in Brunswick in relatively mild conditions - just slush and mud.

What a great picture! Good to see you getting into the spirit of things!
I grew up in the Dandenongs, and I have one sketchy memory of snow on the ground at our house in Kallista - but I don't remember having ever seen snow falling up there. The photograph is a fantastic one, often those spur-of-the-moment candid shots are better than ones that have been agonised over and set up for hours.
Hi Ringo,
Nice photos. Thanks for the tip about where to find them on Flickr.
Cheers!
