There's a few things you can do. From the 'add a gadget' screen do a search for google reader, and you will see a gadget that will embed your reader into the side of your blog. But it takes a really long time to load. In fact, I can't get mine to load..but it has tonnes of unread items in it. OR Use the sharing settings from within Google Reader to send items to your blog. It can be singular articles, or batches of articles that use a particular tag.
