The Melbourne International Film Festival is over for another year, phew! Highlights for me included: The Bank Job, Hunger, Boy A, Seven Days Sunday, In Bruges, Empties, Surveillance, Johnny Mad Dog and Gonzo: the life and work of Hunter S. Thompson.
As with any festival, there were a few that were tedious and stretched the friendship after 1/2 hour including: Sukiyaki Western Django, Cargo 200 and Christopher Columbus - The Enigma.

I really really enjoyed Persepolis. Mind you, that's the only 'quality' film I saw. The other eight were dodgy films from the 70s/early 80s and they were absolute gold!
